Rimfire Pacific Mining (RIM) has appointed David Hutton as Managing Director and CEO, effective June 15.

Since February 7, Mr Hutton has been supporting the company in a part-time executive role during a period of management transition.

A geologist by trade, he has over 30 years’ experience in both exploration and mining, and has been involved with the discovery and delineation of numerous precious and base metal deposits.

Mr Hutton has spent 19 years working in a range of senior operational geological roles followed by another 11 years working as a CEO and Managing Director at Breakaway Resources and Mithril Resources.

Chairman Ian McCubbing said Mr Hutton has made a significant contribution to the company since joining the Board in October 2021.

Mr Hutton’s remuneration package includes a salary of $200,000 on an 80 per cent full-time equivalent basis plus superannuation, and up to 40 per cent of his annual base salary in short term incentives.

Shares in Rimfire Pacific Mining were up 12.5 per cent, trading at 0.9 cents as of 11:55 am AEST.
