Sparc Technologies (SPN) has developed a commercial manufacturing process for the production of graphene based additive products.

The company tested and ordered specialised manufacturing equipment to execute the process and has sourced a manufacturing site.

It has now turned its attention towards commercialisation, with graphene based additive samples available for customers to test and discussions underway with global coating companies.

In addition, patent filing activities have been continuing to ensure IP protection.

Managing Director Mike Bartels said the path to commercialisation is now clear.

“Sparc is now poised to undertake the manufacture of graphene based additives on a commercial scale supporting coatings companies generating significant revenue from products targeting anti-corrosive end uses,” he said.

Furthermore, the company has begun testwork to develop graphene based coatings’ applications for the energy sector.

Shares were trading 11.1 per cent higher today at 60 cents each at 3:55 pm AEST.
