EcoGraf (EGR) has appointed Dale Harris as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive the development of its integrated battery graphite businesses.

Mr Harris has over 30 years’ industry experience across the resources, mineral processing, and engineer sectors – 20 years of which was spent with mining giant, Rio Tinto.

During his time with the company, he held progressively more senior roles in Australia and overseas in the areas of business planning and analysis, project development, and asset management.

Further, he was the inaugural General Manager of the state-of-the-art remote operations centre in Perth and was responsible for the roll-out of the Lean Six Sigma improvement program at Rio Tinto.

EcoGraf believes a person of Mr Harris’ calibre will be able to undertake projects such as the construction of the first EcoGraf HFfree battery anode material facility in Western Australia, and development arrangements for its Epanko graphite project in Tanzania.

Additionally, the company believes his extensive experience in project development and operations will be invaluable. The incoming COO will work alongside Managing Director Andrew Spinks to drive the development of the company’s vertically integrated battery minerals businesses.

Shares in Ecograf were up 1.85 per cent, trading at 27.5 cents as of 3:00 pm AEST.
