Caprice Resources (CRS) has begun a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at Solis, within its Island gold project in the Murchison region of Western Australia.

The 1500-metre program will follow up on previous aircore drilling, which identified a large regolith gold anomaly.

It will focus on testing the interpreted down dip trend of the regolith anomalies that extend into fresh rock.

The drilling is expected to take up to 12 days, with assays anticipated six weeks after completion.

Managing Director Andrew Muir said he was excited to gain more knowledge of the mineralisation.

“Considering Solis has never been drilled before, the large scale of the gold anomalism from the aircore drilling is very promising,” he said.

“This RC drilling is the logical next step to test the gold anomaly and should yield important insights into the mineralisation within fresh rock.”

In addition, the company is planning to conduct further broad spaced aircore drilling to identify similar targets.

On the market, shares were trading flat at 7.5 cents each at 12:00 pm AEST.
