Black Canyon (BCA) has completed its 181-hole reverse circulation drilling program at the Flanagan Bore project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The company drilled a total of 7534 metres to infill and extend the existing indicated mineral resource.

It targeted higher grade zones with the objective to upgrade the mineral resource into the measured classification.

Assays from the completed drill program are expected to be received over the next three months.

Executive Director Brendan Cummins was pleased with the progress.

“The fast-tracked drill program completed at Flanagan Bore will provide additional tonnage potential from both the FB3 and LR1 deposits with manganese mineralisation now successfully identified between the two deposits,” he said.

“The infill drill results should also enable an upgrade in mineral resource confidence classification from the current indicated to measured status which can be used for detailed feasibility studies.”

As a result of the completed drill program, the company has decided to reduce the overall drill spacing to further upgrade resources.

Shares have ended the day trading flat at 20 cents.
