Kula Gold (KGD) has detected anomalous total rare earth element (tREE) mineralisation at its Rankin Dome project in Southern Cross, WA

Testing geochemical samples from both its phase one and two auger drill programs completed in the area, the company detected tREE values of up to 1080 parts per million (ppm).

In addition, 74 per cent of samples returned results above 115ppm tREE.

The program aimed to test elements of interest in an under-explored area, with Kula to conduct further analyses on the results.

The company said the results suggested the potential for two potential sources of mineralisation.

Geologists will now interpret the results to identify and prioritise drill targets and recommend an exploration strategy to advance the project.

Shares in Kula Gold were down 3.23 per cent to 3 cents per share at 10:27 am AEST.
