Iceni Gold (ICL) has identified new targets from aircore drilling at its 14 Mile Well project in Western Australia.

The company completed 121 aircore drill holes at the Danjo NE region of the project and said it had identified four holes with “significant” gold intersections for follow-up drilling.

One of the best results included an eight-metre intersection at 0.21 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from eight metres and a four-metre intersection at 0.17 g/t gold from 20 metres.

The company said the results suggested the gold mineralisation was clustering, open to the north, and associated with a geophysical feature.

All assay results from the aircore drill program have been received and reviewed by Iceni’s geological team.

These will be combined with a recently completed ultra-fine fraction soil sampling campaign to prioritise targets in the area.

Iceni has scheduled follow-up exploration work for the fourth quarter of this year.

Shares in Inceni Gold were trading 1.08 per cent higher at 9.4 cents per share at 11:02 am AEST.
