Okapi Resources (OKR) has completed the first two diamond drill holes at its Enmore gold project in New South Wales.

The drilling aims to follow up on previous drilling, which intersected some of the highest grades seen at the project to date.

Both holes were drilled at the Sunnyside prospect and have intersected quartz-carbonate veining and multiple zones of elevated sulphide mineralisation.

The company said the “encouraging” geology prompted it to drill deeper in the holes than originally planned to 260 metres and 208 metres respectively.

Drilling is continuing at the prospect, before it moves to test the Sherwood prospect.

OKR expects to receive its first round of assay results at the end of September.

Shares were trading 5.71 per cent higher today at 18.5 cents each at 1:58 pm AEST.
