  • Training and recruitment company RBR opened a new training centre in Mozambique to supply workers for emerging LNG projects
  • The multi-billion dollar developments will require over 50,000 workers over five years just for construction
  • RBR is seeing a spike in its share price today, currently up almost 17 per cent at $0.014 per share

Training and recruitment company, RBR Group has started preparing workers for thousands of job openings in Mozambique.

The East African nation has a number of emerging liquified natural gas (LNG) projects, which RBR will help supply employees for.

RBR established a training centre in Palma, Mozambique, which opened its doors at the beginning of the month. The location was chosen based on its proximity to the new LNG construction sites.

On top of learning useful skills for employment opportunities at the LNG projects, the training centre helps workers obtain an internationally recognised health and safety passport from the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB).

RBR’s subsidiary Futuro Skills, is operating the training facility and is accredited in five areas of technical disciplines, integral to construction activities, by the ECITB.

Futuro Skills is also currently working with youth graduates from U.S. petroleum company Anadarko’s training group in Mozambique. Futuro is specifically working with the graduates to achieve their Mozambique Construction Green Card.

The Green Card provides the graduates with qualifications to work across oil, gas, mining and construction sectors.

It is expected this program will add an additional 1000 workers to the LNG project workforce.

RBR is seeing a spike in its share price today, currently up almost 17 per cent at $0.014 per share.
