ClearVue Technologies has signed a collaboration agreement with AquaGen Infrastructure Systems.
The companies will collaborate to integrate ClearVue’s technology into AquaGen’s planned microgrid-based resilient sustainable village developments and other potentially commercial projects.
ClearVue operates in the Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BPIV) sector. It has developed advanced glass technology that aims to preserve glass transparency to maintain building aesthetics whilst generating electricity.
Essentially, this means that ClearVue’s technology can turn a glass building into one giant solar panel. The glass panels are clear enough to see through — like regular windows — but as the light filters through, they generate electricity for the building.
AquaGen’s technology is the synergistic integration of waste treatment, wastewater recycling, greenhouse agriculture, hydroponics, and algae biotechnology. The AquaGen system completely eliminates waste, turning it into energy and crops for unlimited re-use.
Brian Braginton-Smith is the founder of AquaGen and is considered an expert in renewable energy and sustainability. He has 30 years experience in the conversion of wastewater into an alternative water resource.
There are currently a number of microgrid-based resilient sustainable village developments in the advanced planning stage. These will include the AquaGen Infrastructure Systems infrastructure core and ClearVue PV equipped solar photosynthetic greenhouses, EV charging stations, and other building-integrated solar throughout the built environment.
“Since finding ClearVue PV two years ago, ClearVue has evolved into an exciting opportunity of synergistic collaboration beyond greenhouse facilities where we started initial discussions and into planned microgrid-based smart, sustainable, resilient communities,” Brian said.
“We have a number of projects in development, potentially representing a significant revenue source to ClearVue and providing ClearVue a clear foothold in the US urban sustainable infrastructure and agricultural marketplaces,” Brian continued.
ClearVue Executive Chairman Victor Rosenberg is honoured to be working with Brian and the AquaGen team.

The combined ClearVue and AquaGen technology solution will be formally showcased within the Smart Cities-Smart Communities Pavillion at the Boston GreenFest Event. This is held over 16-18 August 2019 in the heart of Boston’s Historic Waterfront district.
Boston GreenFest attracts over 60,000 people each year. The Smart Cities-Smart Communities Pavillion has been created to showcase technologies that allow communities to implement smart solutions to combat climate change and to be more sustainable.
“AquaGen’s exposure of the ClearVue product at the upcoming Boston GreenFest is wonderful exposure for the ClearVue product and technology to yet another US based audience,” Victor said.
