Marmota (MEU) has reported new high-grade gold extensions at its Aurora Tank project in South Australia.

The latest round of assays came from its recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drill program which aimed to define the extent of the open pit at Aurora Tank.

The results recorded new gold extensions including four metres at 18 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 76 metres and four metres at 12 g/t gold from 116 metres.

The company has interpreted a new distinct separate zone of mineralisation, which it is hoping to track and develop to the southwest.

Chairman Dr Colin Rose said the program has been full of surprises.

“Somewhat unexpectedly, the most exciting and interesting new results have occurred to the southwest,” he said

“This direction has the added advantage that they are getting closer to surface as we track them southwards.”

Marmota has begun collecting one metre samples to be assayed across all intersections of interest and is seeking quotes for a follow-up program.

Shares were trading flat at 4.8 cents each today at 3:42 pm AEST.
