Kula Gold (KGD) has begun an airborne geophysical survey over its Westonia project in Western Australia.

The versatile time domain electromagnetic and magnetic survey is being carried out by UTS Geophysics and will comprise 417 line-kilometres on a tenement in the southern portion of the project.

It comes three months after the company’s maiden drilling program wrapped up, which returned 125 parts per billion (ppb) platinum and palladium, and up to 35 ppb gold.

Additionally, a quartz vein rock sample from a lateritic breakaway returned 1.85 grams per tonne gold.

More recently at the end of October, the company also recorded anomalous copper results of 498.3 parts per million, coincident with magnetic structures and gossanous outcrop.

Now, the company plans to follow up the platinum group element and gold anomalism and will use the survey to refine drill targets.

Company shares were up 3.23 per cent trading at 3.2 cents at 11:27 am AEDT.
