Raiden Resources (RDN) has completed its review of available historical and geophysical data for its Roebourne lithium project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The company announced that based on its interpretation of the datasets, there exists a high prospectivity for lithium-bearing pegmatites at Roebourne.

Raiden reported that rocks underlying its tenure exhibited a consistent magnetic signature, expanding the Andover complex larger than previously mapped.

Recent drilling results at Azure Minerals’ (AZS) Andover project, on adjacent tenements, have confirmed that the rocks of the Andover complex are a suitable geological host for high-grade lithium-bearing pegmatites.

Additionally, the potential for lithium-bearing pegmatites has been shown in related geological units within the district.

This includes GreenTech Metals’ (GRE) recent discovery of high-grade lithium-bearing pegmatites at its Ruth Well project, 30 kilometres west of Roebourne.

Raiden Managing Director Dusko Ljubojevic said the company was excited by the review of Roebourne.

“Our initial focus on Roebourne was for nickel-copper mineralisation, which we believe is viable and will add to the overall Ni-Cu-PGE potential within the scope of the Mt Sholl project, he said.

“The analysis of the available geophysical data sets strongly indicates that the project hosts the right rocks and is prospective for pegmatite-hosted lithium mineralisation, as has been demonstrated by Azure Minerals immediately to the south of Roebourne.”

Raiden announced it would soon commence field reconnaissance work to evaluate potential host geology within its projects, including at its Mt Sholl project area.

RDN shares were soaring, up 20 per cent and trading at 0.6 cents at 1:45 pm AEST.
