Brazilian Critical Minerals (ASX:BCM) has released the final assay results for auger holes drilled at its Ema rare earth elements (REE) project in Brazil.

A newly identified four square-kilometre zone with outstanding total rare earth oxide (TREO) grades exceeding 1000 ppm, especially in NdPr oxides within the enrichment horizon, expands the known zone to 12 square kilometres, a 54 per cent increase in the high-grade area.

The average grade of the lower horizon in this expanded zone is 1048 ppm TREO.

Holes with grades below 800 ppm TREO are mainly due to drilling limitations.

The enriched zone at Ema East, covering 36 square kilometres, replicates observed grades at Ema. Higher grades are concentrated in the upper 10 metres of regolith above the saprock, fresh rock interface.

The company is actively processing assay results, conducting additional assays through ammonium sulfate leaching, and planning comprehensive metallurgical tests at ANSTO, Sydney.

An infill drilling program at a 200-metre centre in the next season aims to define an indicated category mineral resource estimate of 180-200 million metric tons at an average grade exceeding 1000 ppm TREO.

BCM shares were up nearly 10 per cent, trading at 2.4 cents at 12:08 pm AEDT.
