Alligator’s major milestone came after the company initiated the introduction of reagents to extract uranium-bearing solution, known as pregnant liquor solution.

Wellfield instruction and flow rates are already performing in line with expectations at this stage, the company told shareholders. Alligator will keep monitoring the lixiviant solution chemistry and extraction rates in coming months; the first “meaningful” recovery data should be released in the next few weeks.

Alligator’s CEO, Andrea Marsland-Smith, declared that this was “another milestone for Samphire and reflects the consistent progress the team has made in systematically advancing and derisking.”

She continued: “The start of extraction is an exciting step towards further confidence in the project’s pathway, particularly when the deposit is responding well to the in-situ recovery process in these early stages of the trial.”

The FRT will now run for four months. During that time, the program will generate a “consistent stream” of operational and tech data, including uranium recovery performance, operating parameters, and wellfield behaviour.

These early tech insights will then feed directly into the South Australian company’s Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS), which is currently being built.

Beyond Samphire’s extraction milestone, Alligator is also hard at work developing an upgrade for the project’s Mineral Resource Estimate, which will incorporate the Plumbush satellite prospect. The Aussie energy explorer is also looking to start drilling at Samphire and Big Lake, weather permitting.

AGE will open Monday morning trade @ 3.8cps.
