Mobilicom has announced its breakthrough Commercial Drone Upgrade Solution has exceeded its goal of $1 million in orders for 2019.

The high-tech company received a repeat order exceeding $200,000, which led to its $1 million milestone.

The company is the sole provider of the solution to the Israel Ministry of Defence (Israel MOD).

The Commercial Drone Upgrade Solution is an “after-market” add on for drone units already sold within the market. It was developed following the U.S. ban on the use of certain drones in security operations because of backdoor cyber risks.

Mobilicom’s solution bypasses the security concern as it helps solve the backdoor cyber risk and adds advanced capabilities.

“The Commercial Drone Upgrade Solution is just a part of Mobilicom’s answer to tackle concerns by the US Department of Homeland Security regarding the use of drones from certain countries that pose cyber risks,” CEO Oren Elkayam said.

Mobilicom designs, develops, and delivers communication solutions for mission-critical and remote mobile private networks that operate without needing existing infrastructure.

It caters to every deployment and project from small to large scale with high flexibility, reliability, and mobility.

In March 2019, the company first launched the upgrade solution and already secured a $572,000 order from the Israel MOD.

In May of this year, the company secured a $280,000 order from the Israel Navy — further confirming the demand for Mobilicom’s drone solution upgrade.

Mobilicom’s share price has gained 5.26 per cent today, with shares trading at 10 cents apiece as at 12:36 pm AEDT.
