Dalaroo Metals (ASX:DAL) has this week started a large-scale, 4,400-sample soil geochemistry program where the explorer will be systematically testing a nine-kilometre-long gold corridor by 200-metre by 50-metre chunks at its Goldridge prospect at Bondoukou in north-eastern Côte d’Ivoire.

The Western Australia explorer is targeting Goldridge’s lengthy corridor after it was interpreted from aeromagnetic data and prior surface testing. This April CY26 survey has been aligned with a northwest-southeast structural corridor, a geological feature typical of major Birimian gold systems in West Africa. Dalaroo’s priority sampling will be focused on the Dingbi and Kogodjan zones.

Dalaroo has three key aims for the work. First steps will be to define any strike extensions from the known 2.5-kilometre-long by 400-metre-wide gold corridor and to identify parallel or “blind” mineralised structures. Then, the explorer hopes to generate high-confidence targets for future trenching and drilling.

Frank Twum-Berima Bosompem, who is operating on-site works in Côte d’Ivoire as Dalaroo’s exploration manager, declared these April works will be a “key value inflection point for Bondoukou” moving forward.

“We are targeting the extension of a structurally controlled gold system identified from mapping and rock sampling, with the objective of defining continuous mineralisation across a multi-kilometre corridor,” he explained today.

Some works have already started; HotCopper understands Dalaroo broke ground on testing during the week ending March 29. The explorer has now hauled in 262 samples and opened 12.75 kilometres of sampling lines.

Early observations have shown there could be a hydrothermal system, including lateritic clays/gravels with abundant quartz fragments alongside alteration minerals like hematite, goethite, and limonite. In tropical terrains, these features are recognised as pathfinders for underlying gold mineralisation.

“This program will provide the geochemical framework required to unlock the full-scale potential,” Mr Twum-Berima Bosompem declared today.

Beyond this 4.4K-sample grid program, Dalaroo will also soon be sharing the receipt of assay results and expects to start up follow-up trenching, auger drilling, and maiden reverse circulation drilling as the year rolls on.

Heading into Thursday trade, DAL is at 4.8cps.
