Saturday, April 25, is a public holiday in most Australian states, including New South Wales, Western Australia, and Victoria, and this year, in NSW and WA, the states are giving that holiday back on the following Monday. That’s left many eager traders wondering if the ASX will actually be running that day.

The Australian stock market will still be open on Monday, April 27, with usual trading to operate normally from 10AM through to 4PM’s close.
There are some restrictions for shops on the Saturday, with most not able to open before 1PM to give room for Anzac Day services and remembrance, and technically, the ASX is marked as “closed” that day as well.
Of course, the ASX never opens on a Saturday — we wish! — which means that nothing changes for Week 18 trading when it comes to the bourse being open and shut. Everything will start from 10AM as per usual, come Monday.
For HotCopper, that means we’ll have Market Open at the bell, coverage during the day, and The ASX Today wrap all coming out as usual as well. Keep an eye out for the usual emails, or catch all the news here on HotCopper.com.
