In October 2018 WorleyParsons Limited entered into a binding agreement to purchase Jacobs Engineering Group.

WorleyParsons has today announced the successful final payment to complete the US$3.2 billion purchase of Jacobs ECR.

The partnership is a pre-eminent global provider of professional project and asset services in the energy, chemical and resource sectors.

WorleyParsons provides customers with a range of consulting, advisory and technical services. It creates new projects for shareholders and finds new ways of sustaining and enhancing existing assets.

Jacobs uses data analytics to see the advantages that technology brings in speed, efficiency and creativity to create solutions for an easier life.

CEO of WorleyParsons’ believes that by combining both companies and their ideas will be beneficial in the long run.

“It’s about opportunity. The opportunity to become the partner of choice for our customers, the employer of choice for our people and to deliver enhanced returns for our shareholders,” he said.

Costs of approximately AUD$130 million are anticipated to be delivered within two years and will provide 57,600 people with jobs across 51 countries.
