Hamelin Gold (ASX:HMG) has been a major mover, drawing a lot of interest across the HotCopper forums, after it reported outstanding high-grade, first drill results from the Day Dawn gold project in Western Australia.

“The initial results from our maiden drilling program at the Day Dawn gold project are highly encouraging. The results support our reinterpretation of historical drilling at the Aurora Lode and highlight the significant high-grade gold potential of the project, with mineralisation remaining open at depth and along strike across parallel lodes,” MD, Peter Bewick, told shareholders today.

“Remaining assay results from the phase one RC program are expected in the coming weeks, and we are preparing for a second phase of RC drilling at Day Dawn in August. Deep EIS co-funded diamond drilling, designed to test for a potential Telfer-style gold system below the current mineralisation, is planned to commence following interpretation of the phase two RC drilling results.”

HMG was up +45%, to 14.5¢ by lunchtime trade.

Elsewhere on the HotCopper forums, EQ Resources (ASX:EQR) has been trending after it was revealed Andrew “Twiggy” Forrest has agreed to acquire the entire ownership stake in the company owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, representing approximately 16.8% of EQR’s issued capital.

Oaktree has been a cornerstone investor in EQR since CY23, supporting the company’s acquisition of the Barruecopardo tungsten mine in Spain and the ongoing expansion of the Mt Carbine tungsten mine in North Queensland.

EQR rose +31.8% on the ownership change, to 29¢ a share.

And finally, Boresight (ASX:BST) attracted HotCopper followers after it had signed a lease for a new manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Alabama. The facility is ~15 times the size of the current Boresight U.S. facility in Hyntsville.

MD and CEO, Justin Olde, said Boresight is set to buy more 3D printing and other supporting technology for the facility to increase the scale of production.

“The ability to service U.S. customers directly from our U.S. facility increases our responsiveness to customer requirements whilst reducing delivery lead times and freight costs. It also helps to insulate Boresight from U.S. government decisions on import tariffs and other policy changes that may occur.”

BST took off +24.6% on the hype, selling at 43¢.

Looking wider, the ASX 20 was up just 1.4 points today, to 8,798.
