Accent Resources (ACS) has received the preliminary results from its Magnetite Range Project (MRP) in Western Australia.

The Magnetite Range Project lies roughly 260 kilometres east-southeast of Geraldton and along strike of the Extension Hill iron ore mine. It is Accent’s flagship project and consists of five exploration licences and one mining lease.

The MRP has a JORC 2004 compliant mineral resource of 434.5 million tonnes at 31.4 per cent iron and 46.5 per cent silicon dioxide.

In Q3 2021, 57 reverse circulation percussion (RCP) holes, for 9861 metres, were drilled across the Julia deposit to infill historical drilling.

The aim of the drilling was to increase the confidence in the geological interpretations and to support an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) planned for later in the year.

CSA Global has begun cross-sectional geological interpretations, integrating the 2021 holes with historical data.

The aim of this interpretation is to identify and outline the higher iron grade magnetite domains.

Preliminary interpretations have identified two distinct banded iron formation (BIF) units along the strike of Julia and the thickness of the BIF intervals varying along strike and down dip.

Accent has now begun planning further infill RCP drilling across the core of the Julia deposit where the thickest BIF intercepts have been identified through historical work.

Accent has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 5.6 cents in a $26.09 million market cap.
