Adam Lamond has resigned as Non-Executive Director and Managing Director of Veris (VRS) after 11 years in the role, effective June 1.

Mr Lamond founded Ocean to Outback Electrical (OTOE) in 2003 and was pivotal in the ASX listing of Ocean to Outback Contracting (OTOC) in 2011, the forerunner to Veris.

He served as CEO and later as Executive Director of Business Development at OTOC, after which he was appointed Managing Director of the then-newly branded Veris in 2017.

In 2020, Mr Lamond transitioned to the Board of Veris as a Non-Executive Director.

In his time on the Board, Mr Lamond played an active role in the formation and growth of the Aqura Technologies business, culminating in the realisation of significant value for the Veris Group via the recent divestment of Aqura in March 2022.

Veris Chairman Karl Paganin thanked Mr Lamond in the company’s ASX statement and said his vision and contribution to the development of Veris has been immense.

“On behalf of the Board, I’d like to thank Adam for his significant contribution to the development of Veris as the leading digital and spatial services provider in Australia,” he said.

“Adam has made the decision to retire from the Board and we wish him all our best for his future endeavours.

“Adam’s transition from the Board continues Veris’ process of Board renewal to align with our strategy and our position as Australia’s leading provider of digital and spatial services.”

CEO of Veris Australia, Dr Michael Shirley, has been appointed Managing Director of Veris and will join the Board on June 1. He will retain his current role as CEO.

Mr Paganin said Dr Shirley’s appointment will ensure continued focus on the delivery of the company’s strong growth outlook.

Shares in Veris are currently steady at 6.6 cents each.
