Media tech company Ai-Media Technologies (AIM) has signed a three-year agreement with global tech giant Google, valued up to $5 million over the duration.

Under the terms of the agreement, all Google employees will have access to the company’s range of premium and secure multilingual captioning services.

In return, the company will become Google’s lead global provider of premium live captioning and translation services for its internal meetings and events function.

Ai-Media co-founder and CEO Tony Abrahams expressed his excitement having the company partner with Google to improve interconnectivity of its employees.

“This is an important agreement for Ai-Media as it highlights our position as a trusted market leader, and it validates our ability to deliver high-quality and secure captioning services to a variety of global customers across different industries.

“This agreement with Google demonstrates our product suite and technology is leading edge, and is expanding into more environments as video becomes a core communications tool for business.”

The company stressed there is no guarantee that the contract will generate the full value of the agreement.

Currently, the company is the biggest captioning provider in the Australian market, with clients including major free-to-air and pay television networks, and has a growing international footprint, with offices in Australia, the US, UK and Canada.

Globally, Ai-Media delivers seven million minutes of live and recorded media content, and online events and web streams every month.
