Alcidion (ALC) has extended its partnership with Leidos Australia for the additional delivery of a health knowledge management system (HKM) to support healthcare services across the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The contract extension is expected to have a total contract value (YCV) of $8.4 million over 57 months, comprising implementation costs and an expanded subscription to its Miya Precision platform.

Under the expanded agreement, the platform will be deployed in additional settings within the ADF, specifically in the longitudinal health record in the deployed and strategic aeromedical evacuation settings.

Further, Alcidion will provide ongoing support and maintenance services to ensure successful delivery and adoption of this additional scope.

“We are proud to see Miya Precision play an increasingly crucial role in supporting the health outcomes of ADF personnel through the provision of consistent longitudinal health data for clinicians across varied care settings,” Group Managing Director and CEO Kate Quirke said.

“We look forward to continuing to build on our existing partnership with Leidos and our consortium partners to deliver a world-class HKM for the ADF.”

The additional capability provided by Alcidion will ensure that critical and relevant medical information can be shared between ADF and its allies in the treatment of its members.

Including the expanded agreement, the TCV for all products and services to be provided by Alcidion is approximately $31.7 million.

Similar to its initial contract, the new agreement will also provide the option for renewal for up to 15 years.

Shares in Alcidion were up 7.14 per cent, trading at 15 cents as of 1:20 pm AEDT.
