Alkane Resources (ASX:ALK) identifies up to 80g/t gold from San Antonio

Alkane Resources (ALK) has identified additional significant results from infill drilling at the Roswell and San Antonio deposits.

Both deposits are located immediately south of the company’s Tomingley Gold Operations which covers an area of 440 square kilometres and lies 50 kilometres southeast of Dubbo in NSW.

Drilling continues to infill the inferred resources at both Roswell and San Antonio. So far, 62 holes — totalling 15,200 metres — have been drilled.

Roswell deposit

The Roswell deposit has an inferred mineral resource of 7.02 million tonnes at 1.97g/t gold for 445,000 ounces.

Significant intercepts include; 102 metres at 4.07g/t gold from 283 metres, including one metre at 57.8g/t gold from 304 metres, and 18 metres at 8.46g/t gold from 311 metres, including five metres at 23.7g/t gold from 322 metres.

San Antonio

The San Antonio deposit has an inferred mineral resource of 7.92 million tonnes at 1.78g/t gold for 453,000 ounces.

Significant intercepts include; 20 metres at 5.84g/t gold from 144 metres, including one metre at 80g/t gold from 162 metres, and 12 metres at 8.38g/t gold from 126 metres, including two metres at 23.6g/t gold from 131 metres.

Now, drilling at Roswell is nearing completion, and an updated resource is expected to be released in Q4, 2020.

Additionally, preliminary mine plans for both Roswell and San Antonio are expected at the same time.

Alkane is steady on the market today and shares are trading for $1.18 each at 11:45 am AEST.
