Alligator Energy (AGE) has completed its inaugural drilling program at the Nabarlek North project in the NT’s Alligator Rivers Uranium Province for the 2022 field season.

Demobilisation is currently underway at the project, following the company’s auger and rotary air blast program, which covered a substantial portion of the southern section of Narbalek.

The program aimed to quantify the depth of surficial weathering and sample the underlying basement geology.

Alligator collected over 1000 samples which are now in transit to a laboratory for analysis.

“These successful early data accumulation steps for the Nabarlek North project are important for future targeting and add to the emerging picture in this region,” CEO Greg Hall said.

“The company will be collating all current data and undertake further detailed planning through the NT wet season, ready for a significant exploration campaign next year.”

The company’s next steps for the project will include analysing the geochemistry data and evaluating this against its recently acquired Falcon airborne gravity data.

Follow-up induced polarisation geophysics has then been planned for the second quarter of 2023.

Alligator Energy was up 1.96 per cent and trading at 5.2 cents at 2:59 pm AEDT.
