Andromeda Metals (ADN) has received results from aircore drilling conducted at the Hammerhead prospect (previously Condooringie prospect).

Hammerhead is located five kilometres north of the Great White deposit which was previously called Carey’s Well.

The aircore drilling program was conducted in December 2019 and included 34 holes for 1451 metres. In May this year, Andromeda conducted a follow-up program which involved a further 45 aircore holes for 2051 metres.

The follow-up program aimed to infill between two previously-identified high-grade halloysite zones at Hammerhead to determine whether they were linked.

Pleasingly, the latest ISO Brightness and XRD results have defined a large continuous bright white (more than 75 ISO Brightness) kaolin deposit with a thickness of no less than 10 metres that covers 2.4 kilometres north-south and 0.5 kilometres east-west.

XRD results released to date have confirmed zones of high-grade halloysite-kaolin, of more than 20 per cent, within the Bright White domain.

Once Andromeda receives the final XRD results from a further 14 drill holes, it will complete a mineral resource estimate on the Hammerhead deposit.

Additionally, the company has collected a two-tonne sample which it will use for future test work.

Andromeda’s overall focus is testing halloysite-kaolin material from the Great White Kaolin deposit and the Hammerhead prospect to establish a competitive combination of the two minerals to be used in various construction industry applications.

Company shares are up 5.97 per cent and trading for 7.1 cents at 11:01 am AEST.
