Anson Resources (ASN) has completed the initial uranium and vanadium exploration program at Yellow Cat Project in Utah.

The program was completed by SRK Consulting and included initial mapping and x-ray fluorescence (XRF) sampling of adit walls.

Results from the program indicate high-grade uranium and vanadium were found, which included 26 per cent of triuranium octoxide and 14 per cent of vanadium oxide.

Workings in the project area are still open and in good condition, which helps with XRF readings from adit walls.

Yellow Cat is located in the Thompson District, which has seen historical production since the late 1980’s and is an opportunity for near-term production of both chemical elements.

“SRK has conducted research to identify and locate historical information and databases covering certain portions of the Yellow Cat project which can be used to fast-track the development of a future exploration program once they have been digitised and assessed,” the company told the market.

SRK has collected samples and have sent them to Anson’s laboratories for assay.

On the market today, Anson is trading flat and selling shares for 4 cents each at 12:06 pm AEDT.
