Anson Resources (ASN) is getting ready to commence a major resource expansion program at the Paradox Lithium Project in Utah.

The company is aiming to deliver a significant resource upgrade at Paradox in the first half of the 2022 calendar year, which will support the feasibility studies and the development of Paradox.

Anson’s expansion strategy is focused on existing targets across Paradox and also on new claims to be added just across the project.

The program will initially target the re-entry of the Long Canyon No 2 (LC2) well to increase JORC Indicated and Inferred Resource to support future production proposals.

Additionally, the program will also target the deeper Mississippian Units, which contains a large supersaturated brine reservoir not previously sampled to be included in the resource.

Anson has lodged a notice to extend the previously approved re-entry and sampling program of these target areas.

The company has also confirmed the new exploration target for the Mississippian super-saturated brine surrounding the LC2 well, which includes 445 million tonnes (Mt) – 1000Mt of brine grading 70 – 100 parts per million (ppm) lithium and 2000 – 3000ppm of bromine.

This new exploration target forms part of a larger-wide exploration target found last year.

On the market this morning, Anson was up 6.06 per cent and is trading at 17.5 cents per share at 10:52 pm AEDT.
