Antisense Therapeutics (ANP) has started its journey to dual-list on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE).
This will support the company’s strategy to broaden its overseas investor base in line with the clinical development of its Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) treatment, ATL1102, in Europe.
It will also enable Antisense to engage with biotech investors across the European Union.
ATL1102 is being developed to support patients with DMD, a progressive muscular weakness for which there is currently no cure.
DGWA, the German Institute for Asset and Equity Allocation and Valuation, has been appointed as Antisense’s investor and corporate relations advisor in Europe.
DGWA will focus on engaging retail, institutional and family office investors in the DACH region — Germany, Austria and Switzerland — as well as the rest of Europe.
It will also increase European investor awareness, develop European media attention, plan and organise virtual roadshows, and report on possible collaboration opportunities.
“Introducing Antisense Therapeutics to Europe makes perfect sense. Many early-stage biotech companies in Europe are owned privately or through venture capital,” DGWA CEO Stefan Müller said.
“Also, German biotech investors are well acquainted with the possibilities and potential of antisense oligonucleotides,” he added.
Antisense CEO Mark Diamond is also pleased with this partnership, stating it will benefit the company.
“We are delighted to be partnering with European investor relations and advisory firm DGWA with the mutual goal of expanding our global corporate and IR footprint and in turn our sophisticated biotech investor ownership,” he commented.
“The move onto the Frankfurt exchange strongly aligns with our clinical development plans for ATL1102 in Europe and the expectation of strong investor and corporate interest in our program,” he added.
An update will be made when the application has been confirmed and when listing is expected.
Antisense is up 5 per cent and shares are trading for 10.5 cents each at 12:12 pm AEDT.
