APM Human Services (APM) has announced the acquisition of Everyday Independence.

The transaction is valued at $52.5 million, plus an earn-out based on FY24 targets.

Everyday Independence is a leading registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider. It offers evidence-based therapies to children, youth, and adults, helping them overcome barriers to live a full and happy life.

The company has more than 450 therapists operating from 30 locations, providing services to more than 10,000 participants in all states across Australia.

APM Executive Chair Megan Wynne said the acquisition was a perfect fit.

“I am delighted to welcome the Everyday Independence team into the APM family. As purpose driven businesses, we are strongly aligned in our culture and values,” she said.

“Together we will continue to empower people to realise their aspirations through improved independence, health and wellbeing and increased social and economic participation in their community.”

Everyday Independence also offers occupational therapy, speech pathology and physiotherapy, as well as early childhood intervention services, habit coaching, and positive behaviour support services.

APM Group CEO Michael Anghie attested to the acquisition being the right move.

“The acquisition of Everyday Independence aligns with our strategy to expand our Allied Health business in Australia as well as our NDIS service offering,” he said.

“Together our people and businesses complement each other and enhances our ability to ensure participants receive the best-in-class services they deserve through tailored, individualised programs no matter where they live, whether it be metropolitan, regional or rural areas across Australia.”

With the NDIS currently offering support to more than 560,000 Australians with disability, APM believes there is “significant” opportunity at offer, with the NDIS accounting for less than five per cent of the company’s revenue in FY22.

APM Human Services aims to become the market leading national provider of allied health services across all ages.

APM shares were down 4.28 per cent, closing at $2.46 each.
