Under current COVID-19 restrictions, Aquis Entertainment (AQS)’s Casino Canberra will restrict the capacity for patron visitation indoors.

Aquis Entertainment specialises in the development and operation of integrated resort projects that concentrate a wide range of tourism-oriented attractions into single, large-scale facilities.

Integrated resorts comprise hotels, convention centres and a diverse range of entertainment including restaurants, gaming, shopping and shows.

Under the current COVID-19 restrictions mandated by the ACT Government, Casino Canberra maintains the capacity for patron visitation at one person per four square metres of usable indoor space, giving a maximum of 505 patrons across the premises, based on the square meterage of the property.

The company will continue to operate according to its Covid safety plan, which is reviewed daily and updated based on advice issued by the ACT Government.

Casino Canberra was eligible for phase two of the Federal Government’s JobKeeper payment scheme from September 28, 2020, to January 3, 2021.

The casino bounced back over the December quarter and roughly returned to pre-COVID levels, when all employees were recalled to full capacity.

Based on the assessment of the operating performance against employer eligibility requirements, Casino Canberra is not eligible for phase three of the JobKeeper payment scheme and ceased claims for JobKeeper subsidy payments from January 4, 2021.

Aquis Entertainment is in the grey, trading at 3.5 cents per share at 4:10 pm AEDT.
