Software company archTIS (AR9) has begun trading in the United States on the OTCQB with the ticker code ARHLF.

The OTCQB is the middle tier for over-the-counter (OTC) stocks and consists of mainly early-stage and international companies that do not yet qualify for the higher-tier OTCQX.

It primarily consists of shell company, penny stocks and small foreign companies.

OTC markets allow shares to be traded directly between investors rather than through a formal exchange such as the ASX or NYSE.

While they are generally riskier and more prone to manipulation, it is easier to trade between international parties.

Trading on the OTCQB helps companies build shareholder value and achieve liquidity.

“We are pleased to be quoted on the OTCQB Venture Market due to growing demand from institutional and retail investors in the US who have expressed interest in archTIS’ global story around securing the world’s most sensitive information,” Managing Director and CEO Daniel Lai said.

“We believe this move will help support our efforts to scale our secure collaboration technologies across the globe and diversify our shareholder base, without impacting our existing ASX obligations.”

archTIS’ primary listing will remain the ASX with its secondary listing to be the OTCQB.

Shares in archTIS were up 5.26 per cent on the market and were trading at 30 cents at 11:14 am AEDT.
