Ardea Resources (ARL) has announced that all 11 diamond holes drilled at its Emu Lake project in WA intersected nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Between March and September this year, the company drilled seven diamond holes and four extensions to historical diamond holes across two drill programs.

All but one of the holes were drilled to test targets at the Binti prospect after high-grade mineralisation was discovered at Bindi South at the start of the year.

Drilling from the first program resulted in the discovery of the Binti Central prospect which lies 300 metres northwest of Binti South.

All holes intersected massive nickel sulphide mineralisation in the Central and Western ultramafics at Binti Central. Drilling in the second program also intersected nickel sulphides at both the Binti Central and Binti South areas.

Managing Director Andrew Penkethman was pleased with the results from all drill holes.

“All drill holes have intersected nickel sulphide mineralisation and demonstrated the potential for both high grade massive nickel sulphides and disseminated nickel sulphides and reinforced the prospectivity of the underexplored ultramafic sequences within Ardea’s tenure in the Kurnalpi terrane,” Mr Penkethman said.

Ardea also recently received visual, assay and survey work results which it will use to update the geological model and plan follow-up exploration work at Binti, as well as to generate nickel sulphide targets across the broader Emu Lake project.

Ardea shares closed flat at 90 cents each.
