Argosy Minerals (AGY) has begun obtaining equipment to progress its Rincon Lithium Project, located in the Salta Province in Argentina.

The company confirmed its local plant and equipment items, such as industrial pumps, agitators and motors from local suppliers are in the process of being delivered for its 2000 tonnes per annum lithium carbonate production operation.

Longer-lead locally fabricated plant and equipment items, like reactors, process tanks, and industrial boilers are also being prepared for scheduled delivery.

Offshore plant and equipment items, such as the evaporator and associated parts manufactured in Germany are currently on route, with delivery into Argentina estimated during February.

The press and belt filters, procured and fabricated in Asia, have an estimated arrival by April.

Argosy Managing Director, Jerko Zuvela said the operations team is continuing their timely development works, with plant and equipment procurement and delivery in progress.

“We look forward to this significant near-term growth phase of increasing development activity and ongoing progress toward the 10,000 tonnes per annum project development expansion at Rincon, as Argosy transforms into a battery quality lithium carbonate producer and cashflow generator,” said the Managing Director.

“We are committed to achieving our upcoming target and commencing production operations this year at our Rincon Lithium Project.”

Argosy Minerals last traded at 39 cents on January 10.
