Arrow Minerals (AMD) has completed a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Dassa gold discovery.

Dassa is part of Arrow’s Divole West project which lies in western Burkina Faso.

Due to intense inflow of water caused by seasonal rains, 2215 metres of the planned 3500 metres was completed before work was suspended.

Nine holes contained shallow intervals greater than one gram-per-metre gold while seven were abandoned before they could reach target depth.

Best results include one metre at 1.9g/t gold from 35 metres, six metres at 1.1g/t gold from 61 metres, and four metres at 1.1g/t gold from 113 metres.

These results show that while gold is present along the three kilometre strike length, the highest and a thickest gold mineralisation is settling into two large bodies.

The northern body measures 650 metres by 180 metres and remains open to the north and down-dip.

The southern body spans a length of at least 600 metres with the potential for a further three kilometre extension to the south.

Further drilling has been planned to extend the gold mineralisation in both zones.

“The drilling was curtailed due to the intensity of the seasonal rains. Nevertheless, 2215 metres of RC drilling was completed,” Managing Director Howard Golden said.

“The results were encouraging, bringing into focus the two zones of significant shallow gold mineralisation. Further, the mineralised zones continue into untested areas both north and south where drilling will continue when drier conditions return in Q4 2020,” he added.

Arrow has dropped 25 per cent and shares are trading for 0.6 cents each at 2:06 pm AEST.
