Arrow Minerals (AMD) has identified highly conductive anomalous targets at its Strickland Project in Western Australia.
The 1150 square kilometre Strickland Project lies 100 kilometres west of Menzies and 180 kilometres north of Southern Cross in the Eastern Goldfields.
This drilling program targeted five highly anomalous geochemistry and electromagnetic (EM) signatures characteristic of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) copper-gold deposits.
Work consisted of reverse circulation (RC) drilling and downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys with aims to test the presence of sulphides.
Hole STKV009 confirmed the presence of two distinct zones of conductance with the first spanning a length of 50 metres, a width of 50 metres and a conductance of 150 siemens.
The second measures a length of 300 metres, a width of 100 metres and has a conductance of 1000 siemens.
Additionally, hole STKV009 highlighted a zone of elevated copper with a result of 20 metres at 0.22 per cent copper intersected.
Arrow is now evaluating the project with hopes of identifying similar geochemical and geophysical signatures.
When completed, the targets will be ranked and prioritised to ensure the highest ranked targets
Managing Director Howard Golden says these findings have increased Arrow’s understanding of the geological system.
“The outcomes of Arrow’s latest program at Strickland have increased our understanding of the mineralised geological system that we identified there,” Mr Golden said.
“This has resulted in the development of an exciting target with geochemical, geophysical and geological traits that suggest the presence of a major mineralised system.”
