Artemis Resources (ARV) has received assay results from a recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Crosscut Zone.

The Crosscut Zone is situated within Artemis’ Carlow gold and copper project, which lies roughly 45 kilometres east of Karratha in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

A total of 12 holes were drilled into the Crosscut Zone to test targets identified via structural interpretation and coincident geophysical information.

This drilling was undertaken to properly assess the structures and mineralisation styles that occur at Crosscut.

Better results include 13 metres at 5.95 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 5 per cent copper and 0.68 per cent cobalt from 42 metres, including five metres at 8.31 g/t gold, 8.10 per cent copper and 0.65 per cent cobalt.

Results are pending for an additional 40 holes with further drilling planned to follow up on these copper and gold results.

“This first batch of results from our 52-hole, 14,000 metres RC drill program presented today are from our step-out exploration at the Crosscut Zone,” Executive Director Alastair Clayton said.

“We are particularly pleased with the very high tenor of copper mineralisation encountered which suggests the Crosscut Zone is as much a high-grade copper deposit as it is a gold deposit.”

Artemis was up 10.1 per cent in the market with shares trading at 9.8 cents at 12:28 pm AEDT.
