Recently completed gravity and IP (induced polarisation) geophysical surveys at Aruma Resources’ (ASX:AAJ) Fiery Creek copper project in Queensland are coincident with broad intersections observed in historic drilling in the 1990s.

The surveys – completed at the Piper prospect in January 2025 – yielded interpreted structures that are coincident with drilling at the same prospect, which picked up assays such as 44 metres at 0.2% copper, 26m at 0.14% Cu, and 14m at 0.15% Cu across two drilling holes.

One of these – AD008R – revealed 42m Cu across multiple zones to a depth of 118 metres while the other (AD009R) intersected 58m Cu to a depth of 98m.

Rock chip sampling work done in September 2024 showed high-grade copper, silver, and antimony, including 20.93% Cu, 31.3g/t Ag and 10,883ppm antimony.

Aruma’s managing director Grant Ferguson said Piper was a prospect ready to be explored further with drilling. “The company’s ongoing assessment of the project continues to enhance the exploration potential of the Piper target, and the wide, near-surface historic copper intersections reported… further validates this.”

He continued: “That these historic intersections at Piper are coincident with our high-grade copper, silver and antimony surface sampling results, and the IP and gravity anomalies defined from our recent geophysical surveys provide a further layer of confidence to our exploration model for the project.”

Aruma has been trading at 1.4 cents this morning.
