Aruma Resources (AAJ) has hit further high-grade lithium and rubidium at the Mt Deans project in Western Australia.

The company received results from the remaining 19 holes of a recently completed 21-hole, phase two drilling program, along with results for another seven historical re-assayed holes which delivered further high-grade results.

Broadly, drilling returned lithium-rubidium grades above two per cent with 12 intersections grading in excess of 1.5 per cent lithium-rubidium.

Specific assays include eight metres at 1.89 per cent lithium oxide and rubidium oxide from 26 metres, six metres at 1.52 per cent lithium oxide and rubidium oxide from 12 metres, and one metre at 2.63 per cent lithium oxide and rubidium oxide from 23 metres.

Aruma also noted the high potassium values of up to 3.6 per cent, caesium of up to 0.6 per cent, and tin-tantalum values of 600 parts per million (ppm) and 700 ppm, respectively.

Based on the continuing positive results from Mt Deans, the company may look to identify “micaceous” pegmatites, with high-grade lithium-rubidium-caesium-potassium ore to potentially produce a saleable lithium-potassium concentrate, and valuable rubidium and caesium by-products with possible tin and tantalum gravity concentrate.

Aruma shares last traded at 5.3 cents on January 10.
