Asra Minerals (ASR) has unveiled “outstanding” high-grade gold hits at the Estera prospect within its Mt Stirling gold project in the WA Eastern Goldfields.

The results come from holes drilled down-dip of assays reported in November last year.

Asra, formerly known as Torian Resources, said the new intercepts extended the mineralised zones at the Estera prospect and included some of the highest-grade gold hits recorded in the project’s southern tenements to date.

The new results include a two-metre hit at 13.21 grams of gold per tonne (g/t gold) from 106 metres and another two-metre hit at 4.59 g/t gold from nine metres.

Asra Executive Chairman Paul Summers said the drilling results showed that the high-grade gold intercepts returned in Mt Stirling’s northern tenements over the past 18 months were now being reproduced in the south.

“Our strong structural focus, persistence, and systematic drill testing of generated targets confirms Mt Stirling’s outstanding gold prospectivity in the north extends to the south,” Mr Summers said.

“In our southern tenements, we are seeing significant down-dip continuity and exceptional intersections characteristic of a high-grade gold system.”

He said the company now planned to extend and delineate the Estera prospect towards a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) to be released before the end of September.

Meanwhile, Asra’s Exploration Manager, Claudio Sheriff-Zegers, said Estera shares structural links with neighbouring prospects Diorite King, Little Wonder, and Diorite Queen.

He added that the company’s tenement holding presented a unique “triple play” opportunity given its prospectivity for gold, rare earths and critical minerals.

Shares in Asra were trading grey at 3.8 cents each at 1:34 pm AEST.
