Asra Minerals (ASR), formerly Torian Resources, has intersected further high-grade gold from its flagship Mt Stirling Project in Western Australia.

Assays have been received for a further 13 extensional holes with a peak result of six metres at 5.38 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 226 metres, including three metres at 10.15 g/t gold from 228 metres and one metre at 23.82 g/t gold from 230 metres.

Other results include three metres at 2.12 g/t gold from 37 metres including one metre at 5.28 g/t gold from 37 metres.

Asra will use the results to update the current mineral resource estimate (MRE) of 118,400 ounces of gold.

Executive Director Peretz Schapiro said the results continue to increase Asra’s confidence in the upcoming MRE.

“The fact that most holes have returned significant intersections throughout this campaign is a testament to the success of our exploration program and drill targeting,” he said.

Asra has also received assays from drilling down-dip of the Estera mineralised zone at the Diorite block with results now being compiled.

Furthermore, an additional two holes drilled at Skywing are awaiting assay and are expected to be reported on shortly.

Shares in Asra were up 2.78 per cent on the market and were trading at 3.7 cents at 12:09 pm AEST.
