ASX Market Close: ASX hits a two-week high, all sectors in the green | 25 June 2024

The ASX200 has hit a two-week high today, closing up, 1.36%.

All sectors closed in the green, the energy sector had the strongest day, jumping up, two and a quarter per cent.

In the Green

EZZ Life Science Holdings (ASX:EZZ) is set to hit the US market ‘food’ category, after it was granted approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for nine of its products.

The company is hoping to take advantage of the rich market for health supplements in the US.

The market was impressed by the news, with shares jumping 17%.

EZZ closed the day at $1.47.

Junior explorer, Everest Metals Corporation (ASX:EMC) rose 8.3% after confirming it will own a 22.8% stake in Cobold Metals when it lists on the ASX, intended for Q4 of CY2024.

Cobold and Everest have struck a deal for Cobold to acquire Everest’s flagship Mukinbudin project in WA for its IPO later this year.

EMC will retain a 22.8% interest in the new listing, valued at $2.6 million.

EMC closed the day at 13 cents.

Skycity Entertainment Group (ASX:SKC) rose 1.5% after entering into an agreement to sell its entire 10% shareholding in Gaming Innovation Group, a European-based online gaming platform provider and media services operation.

The sale amounts to NZ$55 million after brokerage and legal costs.

 SKC closed the day at $1.34.

In the Red

Avenira (ASX:AEV) fell 17% after announcing the extension of its binding MOU with the Northern Territory Government for a lithium battery cathode plant until 2025.

The company plans to complete a bankable feasibility study by December this year, with a full project proposal and location decision by March and June next year.

The MOU involves Avenira, the NT government, and Advanced Lithium Electrochemistry (ALE).

AEV closed the day at 0.5 cents.

Kaiser Reef (ASX:KAU) fell as much as 3% after the company announced it would be divesting exploration assets in New South Wales. 

The company got rid of its Stuart Town and Macquarie North tenements for $525,000 as well as $1.1M in scrip from privately held purchaser ‘HearMeOut Limited.’

KAU closed the day at 15.5 cents.
