Information Technology was the strongest performing sector, up 4.6%, followed by Energy, up 4%, and Discretionary, up 3.2%.

In the Green

MTM Critical Metals (ASX:MTM) closed up 32% on a major advancement in e-waste recycling, achieving ultra-high-grade gold (551 g/t) and silver (2,804 g/t) recovery from printed circuit boards using its proprietary flash joule heating technology.

MTM Critical Metals finished at 16.5 cents.

Cochlear (ASX:COH) closed up 1.2% on confirmation its products will remain exempt from the tariffs recently announced by the U.S. government.

Cochlear closed at $$256.36.

Waypoint REIT (ASX:WPR) finished up 2.9% on revelations it’s actively collaborating with Viva Energy Australia (ASX:VEA) to convert its fuel and convenience network to the “On The Run” format.

Waypoint REIT closed at $2.46.

In the Red

Arika Resources (ASX:ARI) closed down 12.5% on release of results from its maiden diamond drilling at the F1-Fault prospect, part of the Yundamindra Gold JV Project, in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

Arika Resources called it a day at 1.8 cents.

Brickworks (ASX:BKW) closed down just 1 cent after going ex-dividend this morning.

Brickworks closed at $23.42.

Bigtincan Holdings (ASX:BTH) finished down 2.3% after the Supreme Court of New South Wales approved Big Wombat, a fund managed by Vector Capital Management, acquiring 100% of Bigtincan for 22 cents per share.

Bigtincan retired at 22 cents.
