Futures suggest the ASX will open positively this morning, but a lot hangs in the balance with the next US Federal Reserve rate rise fast approaching.

Back home, investors are bracing for Australia’s inflation data.

Today, here are some ASX-listed companies with fresh news:

Minerals 260 (MI6) has received initial assays from its exploration program, confirming lithium potential at its Aston lithium-REE project.

Through soil sampling, MI6 came across two large lithium anomalies, similar to the company’s Jamesons-Malinda lithium trend, and MI6 will prioritise new targets along this trend.

The company also received its high-resolution aeromagnetic and radiometric surveys and reprocessing and merging of data is underway.

Shares in MI6 last traded at 72 cents.

Also in materials, Nexus Minerals (NXM) has completed field reconnaissance work at its Merrimac LCT project, with rock chip samples returning lithium oxide grades of up to 2.85 per cent.

The company has started work on the 15,000 square kilometre NSW critical minerals project, with the goal of exploring large ore bodies. The project has seen extensive high-quality geophysical data collated so far.

Shares in NXM last traded at 7 cents.

Brightstar Resources (BTR) has enforced an earn-in agreement with DevEx Resources (DEV) to attract partners to progress exploration at its Goongarrie project.

The earn-in agreement will allow DevEx to earn up to 75 per cent in a joint venture covering the non-gold mineral rights associated with exploration licences on Lake Goongarrie.

“This earn-in agreement provides an exciting opportunity to partner with DevEx that will see the targeted exploration of non-gold mineralisation, in particular nickel sulphides, under Lake Goongarrie,” BTR Managing Director Alex Rovira said.

Shares in BTR last traded at 1 cent.

Meanwhile, Nexion Group (NNG) has extended its relationship with IBM Australia through an IBM Silver Business Partner Agreement.

Under the agreement, Nexion will become a business partner selling IBM’s software
solutions, including its artificial intelligence platform, Watson, and IBM’s sustainability suite incorporating asset management and ESG reporting.

“Delivering enterprise-scale software and related services opens new opportunities for Nexion to win larger projects with higher gross margins than our traditional infrastructure product suite delivers,” NNG Executive Chair and Interim Group CEO Peter Christie said.

Shares in NNG last traded at 2 cents.

And Osteopore (OSX) has entered into a non-binding term sheet with CellHeal, which has committed $10 million to accelerate commercialisation in Chinese markets.

The agreement describes how CellHeal will set up manufacturing facilities, attain regulatory approvals and commercialise select Osteopore regenerative medicine technology applications throughout China.

Shares in OSX last traded at 8 cents.
