The ASX200 is set to rise with futures up 0.17 per cent near 8:30 am AEDT.

Another record earnings season night for the S&P500 driven entirely on the same Magnificent 7 dynamics we saw all last year – so long as that can last, nobody is asking too many questions.

The SP500 ended up 0.29 per cent; the NASDAQ up 0.43 per cent. The Dow and Russell finished red, however.

Arms giant Raytheon posted its US results overnight – sales are up to nearly US$20 billion; those sales grew 10 per cent in 2023 vs. 2022, and, the company has a US$200 billion works backlog.
