Atomos (AMS) has added a new seven-inch monitor-only product, Shinobi 7 to its range.

Atomos is a global video technology company delivering simple to use, monitor-recording content creation products.

The Shinobi 7 builds on the lightweight design of its original five-inch Shinobi, with a brighter screen and the ability to directly control key camera functions from the monitor.

Over 50,000 units of the original Shinobi has been sold since its launch in 2019, proving popular with users. The company says Shinobi 7 seeks to cater to the same market as the original Shinobi, as well for professional video users who want a highly capable on set monitor solution.

Additionally, the company has announced Apple ProRes RAW support for the Panasonic LUMIX GH5S, bringing the company’s number of RAW-enabled cameras on the market to 32.

“We have a very strong pipeline of product development and the Shinobi 7 is another great addition to the line-up that will continue to support our momentum through FY22,” said Atomos Executive Chairman Chris Tait.

Shinobi 7 will be available from early June 2021.

Atomos shares are up 1.58 per cent, trading at 96.5 cents at 2:20 pm AEST.
