Gold exploration company Auric Mining (AWJ) has begun reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Guest gold pospect in Western Australia.

Drilling operator K-Drill will undertake 25 RC holes, totalling 2400 metres, with the work expected to take two weeks to complete.

Auric will dispatch the assays to the laboratory on a regular basis to ensure the reporting of assays is as quick as possible.

This is the second drill program undertaken at Guest and follows on from an initial drilling program in August which covered a strike length of 250 metres.

Results from this program include two metres at 20.44 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from 59 metres, eight metres at 3.95 g/t gold from 37 metres, and three metres at 3.45 g/t gold from 54 metres.

This drilling confirmed the presence of an entirely new zone of gold mineralisation which is close to the surface and lies in the southeastern part of the prospect.

This zone is believed to be open down dip and along strike with mineralisation extending to the surface.

“We are looking forward to our second RC program at the Guest Prospect. Guest represents an excellent opportunity to expand our gold resource base in the Widgiemooltha area,” Managing Director Mark English said.

Auric Mining has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 11 cents each for a $10.23 million market cap.
