Auris Minerals (AUR) has progressed its aircore drilling program at the Morck Well Project in Western Australia.

The project is held in a joint venture with ASX-listed company Sandfire Resources (SFR), who is funding exploration to earn a 70 per cent interest in the project.

So far this quarter, 175 holes, for 13,506 metres, have been drilled in search of the next major copper and gold discovery.

Drilling from 800-metre-by-200-metre spacings has returned pleasing gold results which lie 800 metres along strike from previous high-grade intersections such as five metres at 4.76g/t gold from 70 metres.

Latest assays since the last quarterly update include 15 metres at 1.03g/t gold from 100 metres including 10 metres at 1.27g/t gold, five metres at 1.44g/t gold from 45 metres and five metres at 0.64g/t gold from 25 metres.

Positively, results also demonstrated a potential 5.6-kilometre trend of significant gold mineralisation to the west of the Morck Well Project. This includes 1.7 kilometres of strike which extends into Auris’ wholly-owned Feather Cap Project.

“We continue to be very encouraged by these intersections from Morck Well, which indicate the presence of a 5.6-kilometre trend of gold anomalism,” Auris Minerals Managing Director Mike Hendriks said.

Subject to getting heritage clearances, Auris Minerals will begin 400-metre-spaced infill aircore drilling to evaluate these findings.

Auris Minerals was up 5.26 per cent to trade at 6 cents at 12:54 pm AEST.
