Gold and base metals explorer Auris Minerals (AUR) has intersected further significant gold mineralisation at its Feather Cap Gold Project.

The Feather Cap Project lies 95 kilometres north of Meekatharra in the Bryah Basin of Western Australia.

A total of 76 air core holes, for 6151 metres, were drilled at Durack East Prospect within Feather Cap to evaluate the potential for strike extensions to the significant gold mineralisation.

Drilling intersected several anomalous zones of quartz veining along strike from recent and historical drill results.

Priority analysis was requested for the 13 holes that intersected the anomalous quartz veining with a best result of 10 metres at 1.22 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold returned.

Notably, this intercept lies 560 metres along strike to the northwest from the recently intersected high-grade result of eight metres at 5.44 g/t gold from 87 metres, including one metre at 26.7 g/t gold from 87 metres.

Results from the remaining 63 holes are expected during November and December.

A review of the drilling will be undertaken once all results have been receive to better understand the mineralisation and geology of Durack East.

“We are very pleased with these further encouraging results from drilling at our Feather Cap Project, with results appearing to validate the extensions of the existing 2.5 kilometre mineralised strike from the Morck Well Project in the east into Feather Cap,” Managing Director Mike Hendriks said.

“Given the location of Feather Cap and the significant mineralisation at Durack to the west and Morck Well to the east, we are aiming to define a total mineralised strike of 5.7 kilometres.”

Auris will now undertake follow-up priority reverse circulation and aircore drilling to confirm and extend the gold mineralisation on priority areas.

Shares in Auris were up 2.08 per cent on the market and were trading at 4.9 cents at 1:37 pm AEDT.
